QCPD chief pays visit to police stations
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Police Chief Superintendent Mario O Dela Vega, performed a commander’s visit at Novaliches Police Station-4 and Fairview Police Station-5 to personally observe the wellbeing of the rank and file well s the condition of the premises.
The commander’s visit is a program facilitated by the Office of the District Executive Senior Police Officer (ODESPO) who is primarily responsible for monitoring the welfare of the personnel acting like a bridge making sure that problems at the bottom level will be relayed to the high command.
The official visit conducted under the smooth interpersonal relationship program of the ODESPO gives opportunity for a dialogue encouraging the personnel to thresh out any concerns and for the commander to either resolve the problem or personally propose to resolve it on the spot thus eliminating the complications of channeling concerns up the administrative ladder.
QCPD brief cops for barangay deployment
Select QC cops to be deployed at different barangays underwent a seminar recently at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Headquarters as part of the PNP’s police community relations program.
The seminar aims to equip and familiarize the participants about the nature of their assignment as the program calls for more than just the regular police peacekeeping duty that they are used to.
For this undertaking dubbed as “Pulis sa Barangay”, the field cop is tasked to be the embodiment of their commanding officer assuming a similar responsibility but in a smaller degree.
These policemen will institute and assume command of a mini precinct in the barangay while utilizing the barangay tanods for anti-crime measures.
